Big projects need a real plan

Whole-home projects succeed or fail on planning: clear scope, realistic budgets, selections made early and trades scheduled in the right order. Your project manager builds that plan with you before work begins, then keeps it on track.

Many of our renovations start with damage. When a flood takes out the first floor, homeowners often use the rebuild to open up the layout, update finishes and fix what never worked. We price insurance-covered work and your upgrades separately, so the numbers are always clear.

Rebuilding in a floodplain?

Homes in a regulatory floodplain that are substantially damaged or substantially improved may have to meet current elevation and floodplain rules. Your city’s floodplain office makes that determination, and we’ll help you understand what it means for your project before you commit.

How much does a whole-home renovation cost?

Whole-home renovations in Greater Houston typically range from about $75 to $250 per square foot of renovated space, depending on scope, structural changes and finishes. Additions are priced individually. See our pricing page.

Renovation FAQs

Can we live in the house during a whole-home renovation?

Sometimes, by phasing the work so part of the home stays livable. For projects that affect kitchens, multiple bathrooms or HVAC, moving out temporarily often shortens the schedule and lowers costs.

Do I need an architect?

For many interior renovations, our team can provide the drawings needed for permits. Additions and major structural changes may require an architect or engineer, and we’ll coordinate with them.

How do you keep big projects on budget?

Detailed scope up front, selections made before construction, allowances clearly spelled out, and written change orders for anything new. You’ll always know where the budget stands.
