Storm damage repair

Hurricane, wind, hail and fallen-tree damage, handled start to finish

When a storm tears through Greater Houston, we secure your home fast, document every bit of damage for your insurance claim, then rebuild the roof, siding, windows and interior with one team.

Storms are a fact of life here. Long repairs don’t have to be.

Hurricanes, tropical storms, derechos, hail and spring squall lines all hit Greater Houston, and the damage isn’t always obvious from the ground. Lifted shingles, cracked siding and a small attic leak can turn into rotted decking, wet insulation and mold months later.

We start by stopping further damage, then inspect the entire home (roof, attic, exterior and interior) so your claim and your repairs cover everything the storm actually did.

What’s included in storm damage repair

  • Emergency roof tarping, window board-up and temporary weatherproofing
  • Full roof, attic, exterior and interior inspection with photo documentation
  • Fallen-tree damage coordination with tree crews, plus structural framing repairs
  • Line-item estimate and on-site meeting with your insurance adjuster
  • Roof repair or replacement, including decking, flashing and ventilation
  • Siding, soffit, fascia, gutters, windows, doors and fence repairs
  • Interior repairs for ceiling stains, wet drywall and insulation
  • Permits, cleanup, debris haul-away and final walkthrough

Types of storm damage we repair

  • Wind damage: missing or creased shingles, torn siding, damaged soffits and fascia, broken fences
  • Hail damage: bruised shingles, dented gutters and vents, cracked siding and window screens
  • Fallen trees and limbs: punctured roofs, broken rafters and trusses, damaged walls and windows
  • Wind-driven rain: water intrusion through windows, walls and roof penetrations

Watch out for storm-chasers

After every big storm, out-of-town crews go door to door. Red flags: big upfront payments, offers to “cover your deductible” (illegal in Texas), pressure to sign today and no local address. Get a written, itemized estimate from a local contractor.

How much does storm damage repair cost?

Minor exterior repairs often run a few thousand dollars, while a roof replacement plus interior repairs can be $20,000 or more. If the damage is covered, your insurer pays for covered repairs minus your deductible. You’ll get a fixed-price written estimate either way. See our pricing page for typical ranges.

Storm damage FAQs

How do I know if my roof has storm damage?

Look for missing shingles, granules collecting in gutters, dented vents, or new ceiling stains. But a lot of damage can’t be seen from the ground. Don’t climb on your roof; schedule a free inspection and we’ll document what we find with photos.

How long do I have to file a storm claim?

It depends on your policy, and many Texas policies set specific deadlines for wind and hail claims. Check your policy or call your agent, and report damage as soon as you reasonably can.

Who removes a tree that fell on my house?

We coordinate with tree removal crews to safely lift the tree off the structure, then immediately tarp and shore up the damage. Removal from the house is often covered as part of the claim; check your policy for details.
