Houston home restoration and remodeling, from slab to shingles

Floods along the bayous, wind from Beryl and the 2024 derecho, and decades-old homes that need more than a patch. We restore and remodel Houston homes with one accountable team.

A city built along the bayous

Houston’s neighborhoods grew up along Brays, Buffalo, White Oak and Sims bayous, and many of them have flooded more than once: the 2015 Memorial Day flood, the 2016 Tax Day flood and Hurricane Harvey in 2017. Add Hurricane Beryl and the May 2024 derecho, and most Houstonians know someone who has rebuilt.

Inside the Loop you’ll find 1920s bungalows, pier-and-beam cottages and mid-century ranches next to new three-story builds. Each one rebuilds differently, and older homes often need code upgrades during repairs. We plan for that up front so it doesn’t surprise you mid-project.

What we see in Houston homes

  • Repeat flooding. Homes near Brays Bayou in Meyerland and Braeswood have flooded multiple times. We rebuild with water-resistant materials where it makes sense and explain floodplain rules if damage is substantial.
  • Pier-and-beam water damage. Moisture under raised floors leads to sagging joists and cupped hardwoods. We dry, repair and re-level from below.
  • Tree damage. Mature live oaks and pines make for beautiful streets and serious roof damage in high winds, as Beryl and the derecho showed.
  • Outdated wiring and plumbing. Older homes often have galvanized pipes or ungrounded wiring that must be updated once walls are open.

Popular services in Houston

Flood rebuilds and storm repairs are our most common Houston jobs, often paired with a kitchen upgrade while the walls are already open.

Houston restoration & remodeling FAQs

Does the City of Houston require permits for flood repairs?

Yes, most repairs beyond cosmetic work need a permit, and homes in the floodplain may need a substantial damage determination first. We handle the permit process and explain what applies to your home.

Can you repair a pier-and-beam foundation after flooding?

We dry and repair framing, joists and subfloors, and coordinate with foundation specialists when re-leveling or pier work is needed, all under one project.
