From “what do we do now?” to “it’s better than before”
Damage is stressful enough without wondering what happens next. Here’s exactly how a Houston Rebuilders project works, whether insurance is involved or you’re planning a remodel.
Emergency response & mitigation
The first job is to stop the damage from getting worse. Insurance policies generally expect homeowners to take reasonable steps to prevent further damage, so fast mitigation protects your home and your claim.
- Emergency roof tarping and window or door board-up
- Water extraction, wet material removal and commercial drying equipment
- Temporary power, security and contents protection where needed
Inspection & documentation
A project manager walks every affected area with you. We photograph everything, map moisture with meters and thermal imaging, and measure each room. This file becomes the foundation of your estimate and your insurance claim.
- Room-by-room photos before anything is torn out
- Moisture readings logged daily during drying
- Notes on code upgrades your city may require during repairs
Estimate, claim support & design
You get a detailed, line-item written estimate. If insurance is involved, we provide it in the format adjusters use, meet your adjuster on-site, and submit supplements when hidden damage turns up. If you’d like to upgrade while we’re rebuilding, we price those changes separately so it’s clear what insurance covers and what you’re choosing to add.
- Fixed-price contract with a milestone payment schedule
- Material and finish selections with samples
- Written project schedule
Rebuild
We pull permits, schedule inspections and coordinate every trade: framing, roofing, drywall, electrical, plumbing, cabinetry, flooring, tile and paint. Your project manager keeps you updated and is the one number you call with questions.
- Dust barriers and floor protection in lived-in homes
- Daily cleanup and secure jobsites
- Change orders only with your written approval
